Ginny needs a reality check.
Ginny’s in denial.
She thinks, “Only people with problems go to therapy, and I don’t have any problems. Cutting helps me feel better and doesn’t hurt anybody.”
I can help Ginny see what therapy really is and how it can help.
Jason desperately needs a break.
Jason is in so many activities – sports, piano lessons. Although he’s not expected to help with his eight-month-old twin sisters when he gets home, he does it to help his mom.
Jason is so stressed out, though, that he doesn’t know how to handle his strong emotions.
He finds himself having panic attacks in which he feels as though he is going to die.
Jason needs to talk about what’s happening and gain skills to help him work through his emotions.
Carla needs a mentor.
Carla and her boyfriend drink when they’re together. Lately, that’s all they seem to do – drink and have sex.
Carla knows she’s not behaving as her family would want, but she doesn’t want to disappoint her boyfriend.
Carla needs someone – not a parent – to listen to and guide her without judgment.
What do you need?
No matter what’s going on with you, I can help. No pressure. No fear. No judgment. No expectations.
Just a safe space where you can be yourself – and healthy advice to consider as you mature and begin to make an honest assessment of your life.
I can help you learn to identify feelings and give words to your jumbled and confusing thoughts.
And I’ll keep your confidence (unless you or someone else you know is in danger, or you know that someone is being abused).
Please – stop trying to handle it all by yourself.
You don’t have to – I want to talk to you.
I get it – confiding in someone you don’t know well might seem a little awkward at first, but I won’t be a stranger for long.
We’ll use talking, journaling, reading and discussing, or even playing therapeutic games – whatever will help you develop an appropriate comfort level during our sessions. (I cheat at Jenga, just FYI.)
Reach out to me at (972) 325-8123 – whatever it is, let’s work through it together.
